While playing as 'Jack', Janey Springs can offer to get him in touch with a plastic surgeon who can give him a less unfortunate face, but 'Jack' turns her down, saying that his new face was implanted with an explosive designed to kill him if he tried to change back to his real face before his contract was up. His skills include bonuses for ignoring injured comrades, an entire tree dedicated to selling out, and the Active Ability to summon Digi-Jacks, holographic duplicates of himself that aid him in battle. The body double of future tyrant Handsome Jack represents the Doppelganger class, the first DLC class released for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, and can summon holographic duplicates of himself to aid in combat and further obfuscate which one is 'real'. There are competing hypotheses about the cause of Jack's injuries: Angel accidentally injured her father when she was young and unable to fully control her siren powers. His face is deformed, with a vault symbol branded into it, and his left eye blinded. The first DLC playable character released for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, 'Jack' represents the Doppelganger class, and is Handsome Jack's body double. If Jack dies at the hands of Lilith, his mask falls off and his real face is visible.
